SUTTON – David V. Karacius, 72, died suddenly March 18th, 2022 at his home in Sutton MA.
David was born on January 24th, 1950 to parents Victor and Lois (Kvaraciejus) Karacius. David was multifaceted and multi-talented; there wasn’t anything he couldn’t do if he set his mind to it. He was all about setting goals, exceeding expectations, and pushing himself to the limit. An adventurer, naturalist, gardener, prankster, cook, best friend, support system, rock, and the light in any room he entered.
David was a very talented drummer playing in The Untouched, The Jazzman, The Ken Sawyer Workshop, The RandyDave Show, and also accompanying family in church worship. He was a member of the Sons of the American Legion at the Dudley Gendron Post 414 where he in recent past served as a manager.
David was an active participant online and in person of Messiah Christian Church in Wells Maine. He came to faith in his mid-20s and loved to learn, discuss, and share his faith with others. His partner in life and adventures was his wife Delia, who laughed at his shenanigans, and worked tirelessly by his side in all endeavors.
David is survived by his loving wife Delia and her beautiful extended family; his children: Tracey Converse of Whitinsville, MA (her three boys Zeb, Dakota, and Isaac), David K Karacius of Honolulu HI (his daughters Mina and Mikayla) Reagan and her husband, Tim Burrows of Wells, ME (children Reyna, Noah, Carly, and Liam) and his former wife Donna Karacius of Wells ME. He was predeceased by his sister Joan Smith.
Family and friends will honor and remember David’s life by gathering for a time of visitation on Friday, April 1st from 10 a.m. to Noon at Mulhane Home for Funerals, 45 N. Main Street in Millbury.
His Celebration of Life will follow on the same day at 1:30 p.m. in the First Congregational Church of Sutton, 307 Boston Road in Sutton.
