Constance "Connie" Cammuso

MILLBURY -Constance “Connie” (Laime) Cammuso, 98, passed away peacefully to be reunited with her husband, Frank “Papa”, on Sunday, August 2rd in the care of the Shrewsbury Nursing Home since February of 2022.

Connie was the last surviving member of her family; she was married to Frank for 68 years until his passing in 2018. She leaves two daughters-in-law, Kathleen Cammuso-Boucher and her husband Roland of Mendon and Rita Cammuso of Millbury. Three grandchildren, Stephen Cammuso and his wife Jill of Sutton, Daniel Cammuso and his wife Denise of Millbury, and Jonathan Cammuso and his wife Rachel of Millbury, three great grandchildren, Lily, Lucia and Benjamin Cammuso. She also leaves many nieces and nephews. Her nephew David Lebel and his wife Cynthia were her primary caregivers before she entered the nursing home.

She was the daughter of Alfred and Albertha (Belisle) Laime. She is predeceased by her sons Frank and Michael Cammuso and a grandson Michael Cammuso Jr., a sister Yvonne Lebel, two brothers Leonard and James Laime and a sister Dorothy Jacques.

Connie was a lifelong resident of Millbury. She and Frank were founding members of St. Brigid Parish in Millbury. Connie was a housewife her whole life who enjoyed cooking, baking, planting flowers and caring for their vegetable garden. She also enjoyed doing ceramics and painting.

Family and friends will remember Connie’s life by gathering for a time of visitation on Tuesday, August 11th from 9:30-10:30 a.m. in Mulhane Home for Funerals, 45 N. Main Street, Millbury. 

Her Funeral Mass will follow that day at 11 a.m. in St. Brigid Church, 59 N. Main Street with burial in St. Brigid Cemetery, both in Millbury.
