MILLBURY – Claire R. (Nadeau) Morin, 89, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on Tuesday, May 31st.
She was born on October 20, 1932 in Holyoke, MA, the daughter of the late Alfred and Caroline (Jablonski) Nadeau.
She leaves three children, her daughter Debra L. Gunnard and her husband Paul of Spencer, MA, two sons Brian R. Morin and his wife Sharyn of Sutton, MA and Gary R. Morin and his fiancee Wendy Vilandre of Hardwick, MA. Five grandchildren Hollie Grant and her husband Matt of North Brookfield, MA, Kristy Egan and her husband Ben of Putnam, CT, Katie Gunnard and her partner Joshua Patraw of Brimfield, MA, and Thomas and Kevin Morin both of Sutton. She also leaves six great grandchildren Brookelyn, Hailey, Raegan, Emma, Jack and Carson.
She was predeceased by her husband, Rene O. Morin, her sisters Helen Vallee, Doris Parmenter, Florence Rousseau, Elizabeth Pearson and her brother Edward Nadeau.
Claire graduated from Leominster High School in Leominster, MA. Longtime resident of Millbury. She was a cafeteria worker/cook for the Millbury Public Schools. She was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the VFW 3329. She was an election poll worker for the town of Millbury for twenty years. She enjoyed spending time with her family, playing Bingo, and her trips to the casino.
Family and friends are invited to remember Claire’s life by gathering for a time of visitation on Sunday, June 5th from 2 to 4 p.m. at Mulhane Home for Funerals, 45 N. Main Street in Millbury.
Her Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Monday, June 6th at 10:30 a.m. in St. Brigid Church, 59 N. Main Street, Millbury. Burial will follow in Central Cemetery.
