Cheryl "Chesh" Allen

MILLBURY – It’s with great sadness we announce the passing of Cheryl “Chesh” Ann Allen, 60, on Wednesday November 5th. She passed peacefully at AviniaCare in Northbridge with her brother by her side.

Chesh leaves her “little” brother Craig M. Allen of Millbury and her beloved cat, Bailey. She is predeceased by her parents, David J. Allen and Bettejane Allen.

Chesh is a graduate of Millbury High School, class of 1983. After graduation, she worked for State Mutual/Hanover Insurance Company for many years before taking on the care of our mother and father. She also worked at JT’s Corner Store in Millbury, part time. She truly enjoyed her time working there.

Chesh also enrolled in night courses at Quinsigamond Community College and Assumption College, graduating from both and earning a bachelor’s degree in business.

At home, Chesh loved her pool. She would float for hours on end and wanted to have as many floats in the pool as possible. She also kept up with two soap operas, General Hospital and Days of Our Life. She would even explain what was going on, if I happened to be sitting with her. She also enjoyed watching the Red Sox, Patriots, and Celtics. She would get so angry when players couldn’t accomplish the “simplest” acts they were getting paid for.

Chesh’s rock through her illnesses was her cat, Bailey. Bailey is not your typical cat; he has the personality of a dog. He would follow her from room to room and he needed to be with his Mumma all the time.

Chesh also enjoyed her Thursday afternoon shopping trips with our aunt, Jeanne Frohock. They would go to a few different stores before ending up back at home with some Pizza Chef for supper.

Family and friends are invited to remember and celebrate Chesh’s life by gathering for a time of visitation on Sunday, Nov. 23rd from 2 to 4 p.m. with her funeral service to follow at 4 p.m. in Mulhane Home for Funerals, 45 N. Main Street, Millbury.
