SUTTON

SUTTON – Bruce B. Hunton, 79, passed away after a brief illness on Monday, July 17th in UMASS Memorial Medical Center.

Bruce’s wife, Constance M. (Rourke) Hunton passed away in 2016.  He leaves two children, Joy L. Hunton and her fiancé, Tom Falconer of Douglas and Scott B. Hunton and his wife, Tammie of Princeton; three grandchildren, Zachery, Ashley and Dylan Hunton; a sister, Betty Bohanan Date and her husband, Roger of Arizona; many nieces and nephews.  He is predeceased by his parents, Harold and Mildred Hunton and a sister, Janice Kaleskas.

Bruce was a member of the Teamsters Local 170 and worked as a concrete truck driver for many years.  He enjoyed boating with his family on Lake Winnipesaukee and camping at his seasonal site at Paugus Bay Campground in New Hampshire. Bruce loved biking, ice fishing and hiking but most of all he loved spending time with his grandchildren.

Bruce was a dad, son, uncle, and friend, but his favorite title was Bubba. This is what his three grandchildren knew him as. Bruce is a well-known family man, and would do anything for his family, especially his grandchildren. Bruce, and his previously deceased wife, Connie, dedicated their lives to spending time with their grandchildren. Whether it was going to the movies, babysitting, or birthdays, Bruce made sure he was always around. Bruce will forever be remembered as a loyal, loving, friendly, and hardworking man. He spent his last days surrounded by his family, and is now reunited with his wife, his true love.
