Bonita "Bonnie" Hill

December 18, 1945 — May 5, 2025

MARLBOROUGH

With deep sadness, we announce the passing of Bonita “Bonnie” Hill, a beloved mother, sister, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend. Born in Lowell, MA on December 18,1945, Bonnie was the youngest of eight children.

A long-time resident of Marlborough, MA, she was predeceased by her loving husband of 35 years, Thomas J. Hill, with whom she shared a deep and everlasting love. We find comfort in knowing they are reunited.

Above all else, Bonnie cherished her family. Her son, William Hill, and his wife, Alita held a special place in her heart. Bonnie treasured the unique bond she shared with her sister, Deanna Martin. Their connection was a source of strength and unwavering support throughout her life. She also loved her stepchildren: Thomas Hill, Wendy Hill Lessard, Steven Hill, and Shawn Hill, and their partners, as well as her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Bonnie dedicated her life to caring for others throughout her 33-year nursing career. Her compassionate spirit and gentle touch brought comfort and healing to countless individuals. She also loved her work as a librarian, and volunteered her time with the PTA, MADD, and the Marlborough Girls Club.

Beyond her family and profession, Bonnie found joy in the simple pleasures of life. Those who knew Bonnie will fondly remember her infectious and wonderfully loud laugh, a sound that could fill a room with joy. Her grand-doggies brought her immense happiness, and she enjoyed a cup of Dunkin’ Donuts coffee with a good book. Bonnie also held a special fondness for Cape Cod and Hampton Beach, places where she created cherished memories with her family.

Friends and family are invited to pay their respects at a wake to be held at the Mulhane Home for Funerals, located at 45 N. Main Street, Millbury, MA, on Thursday May 15th from 5pm to 8pm. A celebration of Bonnie's life will be held at a later date.
