Barbara A. Tuttle

SOUTH DENNIS / MILLBURY - Barbara Egan Tuttle, age 84, passed away peacefully, with her family at her side, at Cape Cod Hospital on May 19^th.  She had been living at Mill Hill Residence in West Yarmouth, where she received excellent treatment from the staff for which the family is so grateful.

She is survived by her husband of sixty-one years, Alan, children Kelly Dalbec (Michael), James Tuttle (Kristan), and Jane Bisaillon (Steven), and ten grandchildren along with several nephews and nieces. She is predeceased by a son, William, parents John Egan and Maybelle Donovan Egan, and brother George Egan, Esq.

Born and raised in North Smithfield, Rhode Island, Barbara had an outstanding sense of humor and a smile for everyone. She graduated From St. Xavier Academy and Rhode Island College, both in Providence. She was an elementary teacher in Cumberland, R.I., Auburn and Millbury. She also served on the Millbury School Committee for seven years and was a CCD teacher at St. Brigid’s Church for several years. She enjoyed singing in the choir at Our Lady of the Cape Church in Brewster.

She and Alan loved their trips to Ireland, cross country skiing, hiking and walking, especially on the beaches of Dennis.

Family and friends are invited to remember Barbara’s life by gathering for a time of visitation on Wednesday May 29^th from 8 a.m. to 9 a.m. in Mulhane Home for Funerals, 45 N. Main St. in Millbury.   

Her Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday May 29th at 10 a.m. in St. Brigid Church, 59 N. Main St. in Millbury.   Burial will follow in Central Cemetery in Millbury.
