PRINCETON, MA – Arlene Eichler (Almskog) Seims, 79, passed away in her home on September 25, 2025.
She is survived by her son Kristofer Seims and daughter Meridyth (Seims) Shorette, and two grandchildren, Kenneth and Olivia. Her loving husband of 53 years, Kenneth, passed away in December 2020. She is also predeceased by her granddaughter, Charlize Liane, who passed away in 2013.
She was born February 7, 1946 and soon after adopted in Brooklyn, NY by Ivar and Ivy Almskog. The youngest of three adopted children, she was a 1962 graduate of Erasmus Hall High School and a 1966 graduate of the School of Visual Arts. Arlene married Kenneth in 1967 and lived in Brooklyn until 1994, when she and her husband moved to Princeton. Arlene held a variety of jobs in banking, advertising and physical fitness before the birth of her first child, and made and sold crafts for decades afterwards. She was a member of the Village Light Opera Group from 1973 to 1981, the Brooklyn Philharmonic Chorus from 1981 to 1989, and both Music Worcester and the Salisbury Singers from the 1990s to 2010s.
Arlene was cremated. Family and friends are invited to remember Arlene’s life by gathering for a time of visitation from 4 to 5 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 1st at Mulhane Home for Funerals, 45 N. Main St., Millbury, MA. Her memorial service will be held at 5 p.m. in the funeral home.
