WORCESTER - Ann (Houlihan) Faron, formerly of Grafton, MA, passed away peacefully on July 14, 2025, at Notre Dame du Lac.
Ann was born to John and Winifred (Farrell) Houlihan on July 11, 1940, and grew up on Vernon Hill in Worcester. She graduated from Ascension High School in 1958, where she was the senior class president, Worcester State Teachers College in 1962, and Boston College in 1965 with a Master of Education in Reading. Ann was a dedicated teacher who taught first grade for twenty-five years at Dartmouth Street School and Roosevelt School. Ann married Lawrence Faron in 1971, and they moved to the town of Grafton and raised their family.
Ann is survived by her beloved husband, Lawrence; children, Michael Faron and his wife Barbara, Elizabeth Keenan and her husband Paul, and Kathleen McLaughlin and her husband James; grandchildren, Conor, Erin, Brendan, Brian, Henry, and Julia; and two great-grandchildren, Rowan and Callan. She was predeceased by her sister, Marie E. Carey.
Ann shared her love, kindness, and generosity with her family and friends by baking for gatherings, hosting Christmas Eve, and cheering on her beloved Boston Red Sox and New England Patriots. Her greatest joy was being a grandma and taking care of her six grandchildren.
Ann was a devout Catholic who volunteered for many years at St. Mary’s Church in Grafton.
Her family extends their gratitude to the Notre Dame Du Lac nurses and staff.
All are welcome to gather with Ann’s family on July 19th from 8:30 - 9:30 am at Mulhane Home for Funerals Funeral, 45 N. Main Street, Millbury, followed by her funeral Mass at 10:00 am at St. Brigid’s Catholic Church, 59 N. Main Street, Millbury. She will then be laid to rest at St. Brigid’s Cemetery, Millbury.
