It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved mother, Aline Therese (Aucoin) Dubois, who peacefully passed away surrounded by family on May 14, 2024, at the age of 89.
She was born on September 23, 1934, in Worcester MA to Antonio and Annie (St. Martin) Aucoin. She grew up in Northbridge, MA, and later moved to Millbury, MA. She was a dedicated and loving wife of 50 years to her late husband Raymond Edward Dubois, Sr. She is predeceased by her sister Cecile (Aucoin) Ballard.
Aline was a devoted mother and is survived by her 5 children, 7 grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren, one niece, one nephew and one great-niece: Denise Therese Irwin and her husband Ken of St. Petersburg FL; Michelle Cecile McLaughlin, her husband Sean of Sutton and their children Kelsey Erin McLaughlin and her partner Daniel Steiner, and Alanna Quinn McLaughlin and her husband Issac Sukin; Suzanne Angele Rodriques, her husband Manuel of Sutton, and their children Gregory James Rodriques and his fiancée Colby Sim, Matthew Antonio Rodriques, and Haley Inez Rodriques and her partner Zachary Mirow and their son Bryson Paul Mirow; Raymond Edward Dubois, JR and his wife Shirley Ann (Belanger) of Millbury and their great-granddaughter Isabell Grandmaison; J. Andre Dubois, his wife Jill (Langway) of Millbury, and their sons Aiden Jeffrey Dubois and Asa Edward Dubois; niece Pauline (Ballard) Naples, her daughter Emilie Immonen, and nephew Carl Ballard of Lago FL.
Aline had a full life focusing on her children and those organizations she found most fulfilling. She was bilingual, French being her first language. She retired from WPI Biomedical department as an administrative assistant and previously worked for Northwestern Mutual Life. She volunteered for more than 10 years cooking for the Mustard Seed of Worcester at her affiliated parish of Our Lady of Assumption. She was a long-time member of the Millbury Women’s Club and the Associates of the Sisters of Assumption. She took pride in her yard, gardening. She was an avid reader, and often visited the local library. Aline was a talented seamstress and taught her children her skills. She also enjoyed many artistic crafts and focused on exposing her children to her passion for the arts, including music, Boston Ballet, and art museums. She took pleasure in traveling extensively with her husband and children. She loved nature, sharing that love with her children, spending many hours at Purgatory Chasm, Scarborough Beach, and Greenhill Park. She enjoyed bird watching.
Family and friends are invited to remember Aline's life by gathering for a time of visitation on Tuesday, July 16th from 10:30 to 11:30 am in Our Lady of the Assumption Church, 10 Waters Street, Millbury. Her funeral Mass will follow at 11:30 a.m. in the church with burial in Central Cemetery, Millbury.
