George “Yogi” Peladeau, 84, passed away in his home on Sunday, March 11th surrounded by his loving family.
George leaves his wife of 57 years, Beverly A. Peladeau; four children, Denise Morin and her husband, Thomas of Worcester, Wayne Peladeau and his wife, Grace of Sutton, Glen Peladeau of Webster, Michele Piselli and her husband, John of Millbury; twelve grandchildren, Thomas Morin and his wife, Colleen, Robert Morin, Michael Morin and his wife, Loni, Jonathan Morin and his wife, Angela, Sarah Morin, George, Steven, Charles and Daniel Piselli, Marc, Marie and Marcel Peladeau; one great grandchild, Keegan Claire Morin; a brother, Edmond Peladeau and his wife, Judy; many nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by his parents, George and Doris Peladeau; a brother, Andre Peladeau and his wife, Doris.
George was a veteran of the United States Army and served many years in the Army National Guard. He worked at Sutton Fuel Company for many years as an oil burner technician. George was on the Sutton Fire Department and rescue squad for 31 years, retiring as a lieutenant. He was a member of the Blackstone Valley Forestry Association, a founding member of the Tri State Trail Riders Association and a charter member of the New England Trail Riders Association. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, bee keeping, golfing, and watching New England sports. George and Bev traveled the world extensively for many years. Most of all he loved spending time with his family and especially his grandchildren.
Family and friends will honor and remember George’s life by gathering for calling hours on Thursday, March 15th from 4 to 7 p.m. in Mulhane Home for Funerals, 45 N. Main Street, Millbury.
His funeral service will be celebrated on Friday, March 16th at 11 a.m. in the funeral home. Burial will follow in West Sutton Cemetery.
