MILLBURY

MILLBURY – Judith F. (Nettelbladt) Bunnewith, 85, passed away on Wednesday, January 13th after a brief illness.

Judy will be reunited with her beloved husband of 49 years, John C. Bunnewith who passed away in 2003. She is predeceased by her daughter Karen Henault and her brother, Roger Nettelbladt.  She is survived by her daughter, Debra Burke; her son, Gary Bunnewith and his wife, Cindy. Judy also leaves her 7 grandchildren, the loves of her life: Duane Burke and his fiancé Debbie Powers, Jaclyn Chaves and her husband Tony, Kevin Henault and his fiancé Debbie Young, Christie Henault and her partner Ryan Gosselin, Corey, Brandon,and Marissa Bunnewith; 7 great-grandchildren; two nieces and many cousins. She will be missed by many friends, including her sister-in-law’s Nancy Nettelbladt and Roberta Belair.

Judy was born the daughter of the late Henry and Matilda (Fulton) Nettelbladt.  She graduated from Millbury Memorial High School and Fanning School of Nursing.  Judy worked for a few years at St. Vincent Hospital and 24 years with the Millbury District Nurses. She was a volunteer for the Millbury Council of Aging. After Judy and John “Jack” spent years of travel in their RV, they turned in their keys to retire on Cape Cod and become a pair of snowbirds in Florida. Judy returned to Millbury in 2004. She spent her final years living in her childhood neighborhood, enjoying the many friendly faces and fun spirit of the Dorothy Pond community.

The family would like to thank the staff at UMass Memorial– University Campus ICU for the tremendous care they gave to Judy in her final days.

Judy’s family will celebrate her life with private services.
