MILLBURY

Carol Ann (Pelkey) George, 77, of Epping Street in Millbury, passed away peacefully early Monday morning, May 4, 2020 at UMASS Medical Center in Worcester.

Known as “The Little Lady with the Big Heart” she put a smile on everyone she met.

She is predeceased by her beloved husband, Ernest Paul George whom she was married to for 39 years until his passing in November of 2009.

Carol is survived by her daughter Cheryl Ann Belsito of Dudley, Ma.  Her son Ronald P. George of Northborough.  Her son Jeremy G. George and his fiancé Maribeth Wrobel of Paxton, her son Derek W. George and Cristina Myotte of Millbury with whom she lived.

Her six grandchildren whom she adored, Jessica and her husband Richard Curtis, Kayleigh Francis, Gianna Belsito, Devon Burton-Sanderson, Tyler and D’Artagnan George.  A great granddaughter, Alayna Pontbriand.

She also leaves a sister, Ann Marie Bouvier and her husband David of Hubbardston.  A brother, Lester W. Pelkey, Jr and his wife Jane of Paxton.  A sister-in-law Delores Matys and her husband Lee of Millbury.  Aunts, cousins, nieces, nephews, extended family members and friends whom she loved dearly.

Carol was born in Worceter, Ma raised in Shrewsbury, daughter of the late Lester Warren Pelkey Sr. and Mary Ann (Kristolaitis) Pelkey.

She attended Shrewsbury schools and briefly worked at Worcester Wooden Heel, Comfort Shoe and the Frem Corporation, but her passion was being home on “The Farm” in Shrewsbury raising her family.

She enjoyed reading, arts and crafts, swimming in her pool and camping with her family.

She had a love for all animals and found the good in everyone.  She will be greatly missed and loved forever.

To abide by the state regulations on social gatherings, all of Carol’s graveside service at Worcester County Memorial Park in Paxton will be private.  A celebration of Carol’s life will be determined at a later date.
