Sven Corsak

September 8, 1921 — January 24, 2009

EAST GRANBY – Sven Corsak, died early on Sat. Jan 24, 2009 after a recent illness at Lanessa Extended Care in Webster, MA. He leaves his wife Irmgard of 56 years, and two daughters, Betty Braden and her husband Gene and two grand children Hailey and Mason of Plano, TX and Irene Kneeland and her husband Bob and three grand children Kim, Chris and Kara of Sutton, MA.
Sven attended the Polytechnic Institute in Wilna, Poland, and then studied for 3-1/2 years at the Darmstadt Technical University in Germany where he met Irmgard. He immigrated in 1951 to the United States, Irmgard followed in 1952 and the two were married. Sven and Irmgard built their own house together. Sven worked as a Technical Illustrator for United Technologies for 25 years. Sven had a "can do" spirit, was known to his friends and family as a gifted illustrator and cartoonist, a jack of many trades, "Mr. fix-it", and a loving husband, father and grandfather.
Funeral arrangements are private. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Asperger's Association of New England, 85 Main Street, Suite 101, Watertown, MA 02472.
