December 8, 1916 — November 18, 2004

MILLBURY Mary (Hamilton) Graveline, 87, of 5 Millbury Ave., died Thursday, Nov. 18th in Radius Health Care Center of Millbury, after a long battle with AlzheimerTM)s disease.

She leaves her husband of 60 years, Oscar S. Graveline; two sons, Paul D. Graveline of Millbury who was her devoted caregiver until she entered the nursing home, 11 months ago and David Graveline of Worcester; two daughters, Anne, wife of Richard Smardon of Syracuse, New York and Mary E. Brodeur of Millbury; a sister, Elizabeth, wife of Joseph "Nelson" DeRoy of Wallingford, Ct.; a brother, Charles Hamilton and his wife Mary of Auburn; four grandchildren, Matthew Brodeur, Nicole Cooney, Regina Buonaccorsi and Andrea Seth; three great grandchildren; nephews and nieces, including her niece, Mary Pelletier who was also a treasured friend and also her granddaughter-in-law, Shannon Brodeur, who was very close to her. She is predeceased by a brother, John "Buster" Hamilton and a sister, Marjorie Hamilton. She was born in Millbury, daughter of Charles and Flora (Gendron) Hamilton.

Mary was a life long resident of Millbury and was a member of St. BrigidTM)s Parish and the Legion of Mary. She taught Christian Doctrine at St. BrigidTM)s Church for many many years. She was active in the Fleet Reserve AssociationTM)s Ladies Auxiliary.

She enjoyed lifeTM)s simple pleasures, spending time with family and friends. Nurturing and caring for her children and grandchildren was her lifeTM)s passion. She loved all children and just being in their presence made her happy.

Mrs. GravelineTM)s funeral will be held Monday, Nov. 22nd from Mulhane Home for Funerals, 45 Main St., Millbury, with a Mass at 10 a.m. in St. BrigidTM)s Church, 59 Main St., Millbury. Burial will be in St. BrigidTM)s Cemetery. Calling hours are 4 to 7 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 21st, in the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the AlzheimerTM)s Association, 36 Cameron Ave., Cambridge, MA 02140.
