John Yursha

February 23, 1923 — December 27, 2011

MILLBURY – John Yursha, 88, died Tuesday, December 27, 2011 in St. Vincent Hospital in Worcester.

His wife, Frances H. (Puliafico) Yursha died in 2000. He leaves two sons, Leonard J. Yursha and his companion, Linda Vernon of Sutton and Carmen J. Yursha and his wife, Patricia of Auburn; three grandchildren, Krystle Rutkiewicz, Jonathan Yursha and Brittany Burlingame all of Auburn; a great grandson, Ben. He was born in Poland, son of Joseph and Leonarda (Jasuikajczuk) Yursha and came to this country in 1949, when he became a United States citizen. He was educated in Poland and he was inducted into the Labor Supervision Company associated with the US Army in Poland.

John was a mason for the former Worcester Mason Construction Company, retiring in 1988.

John's funeral will be held Saturday, Dec. 31st from Mulhane Home for Funerals, 45 Main St. in Millbury with a Funeral Mass at 10 a.m. in Our Lady of Lourdes Church, 1290 Grafton St. in Worcester. Burial will be in St. Brigid Cemetery in Millbury. Calling hours are 5 to 8 p.m. Friday, Dec. 30th in the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to a charity of the donor's choice.
