David Jung

April 16, 1939 — November 3, 2004

MILLBURY David Jung, 65, of Old Common, died Wednesday, Nov. 3rd, in UMASS Memorial Medical Center, University Campus, as a result of injuries sustained in a fall at his home on Oc.t 9th.

He leaves two daughters, Elizabeth J. Jung and Amanda J. Nelson both of Worcester; a son, Alexander Jung of Marietta, Georgia; his mother, Gladys A. (Tasche)Jung of Sheboygan, Wisconsin; a brother, J. Peter Jung of Seattle; a sister, Catherine Wood of Sheboygan, Wisconsin; five grandchildren, Hannah and Jacob Jung, Walter, Oliver and Anabelle Nelson. He is predeceased by his father, Edgar J. Jung. He graduated from the University of Rochester, N.Y and later earned a Master Degree in business administration from that University.

Upon graduation he worked for Jung Shoe Company in Sheboygan, Wisconsin. He then continued with General Motors Co. first in Rochester, N.Y. and then in New York City, before moving to this area and being employed by Crompton & Knowles as a comptroller. He later became comptroller of Table Talk Pies in Worcester, before returning to New York City to work at Beech Nut Foods. He then retired as Chief Financial Officer of Venture Foods Inc. in New York City. He was a Corporator at the Millbury Savings Bank. After retirement he enjoyed traveling with his children and grandchildren and spending time at his property in Wisconsin.

Memorial calling hours will be held from 2 to 4 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 6th in Mulhane Home for Funerals, 45 Main St., Millbury. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to People for Animals League, 30 Young Road, Charlton, MA. 01507.
